Im looking to have a website designed and company have recommended nopcommerce as the best option where as other have said Magento. Does anyone have any advice on nopcommerce, is it a good system, is the admin section easy or harder? Any advice would be appreciated.
Interesting, I have never heard of that software. I would at least stick with one of the major ones simply because it will be easier to find people to make modifications later. I took a peek at magento and I would guess that it is simply too hard for them to develop or they are familiar with the shopping cart they suggested. If they don't want to go with magento and you still want to use this web development company, as mentioned before, I would stick with at least ZenCart or OSCommerce. Beyond that I think you might regret going with anything else later on.
They have offered nopcommerce or magento but have said that nopcommerce will take 150hours (as opposed to 180 with magento), does anyone else think Magento will be worth the extra money?
Definitely. Like phpgator, I have never even heard of nopcommerce. I would stick to something that's reputable and has been along for a long time.
