Hello all. Great site and great people here. I'm not sure how to phrase this question for the site's search engine, so I will ask the members.

In another thread I read how a single domain can be composed of dozens of sites, if not more. I even have read how certain people (I think they are called BH's?) can take one domain and make 100 sites out of it.

I am on a limited income, so I can't purchase many domains. But I do have a few topics in mind. So how would one go about making many sites out of a domain?

Thanks to all who will contribute.

    Hello,
You can put your sites on different subdomains. Subdomains are seen by google as independant websites.

First, let me thank you for helping me toms.

So let me see if I have this correct: I purchase a domain, and then use subdomains to create as many sites as I choose per domain?

If this is correct, is it better to purchase some generic names for the domains and then have the subdomains be keyword rich?

And one other question. I have read on this forum that people have had their domains dropped by a SE, right or wrong. If I was to have several dozen domains dealing with different topics, and Google was to drop a site, would all my subdomains be penalized?

I'm very interested in your thoughts and the thoughts of others, because it seems that subdomains allows me to have many sites per domain.

    Thanks
