I've been browsing here and many of the questions are about displaying existing RSS feeds (ie: taking someone else's content and displaying it). I want to know how to take my blog (wordpress) and publish it through RSS so other sites can use it. Can someone point me in the right direction (or likely, the right thread)? Thanks!
if you are talking about the link in your sig, here is your feed:http://www.makewowgold.com/feed/ it has no style to it, but it's a start. There should be some options in your Wordpress admin control panel for editing rss settings. As it stands though, other sites can publish your content very easily by going to that link, you even have rss icon links on your blog...
Well I'll be! Heh! Thanks! That's great! OK, so that's cool that folks can subscribe to that if they want. You mentioned no 'style' to it. Do you mean that I should configure the way it displays on the /feed url? And the next question is; how do I add one of those cool little RSS feed logos on my main content so people who want to can subscribe from there (and know it's available without assuming they know to go to my /feed page)?
OK...so I found Feedburner and did a little tweaking. Now I've got the RSS feed logo on my site so folks can subscribe. Are there drawbacks to that, or is that generally considered a good thing?
