nOOb question: What do you use to track the spiders from search engines?

Sorry for the newbie question. My site is in the design stage, just wondering how it works.

 

I normally just use awstats+Google Analytics, nothing else. I don't really track them anymore or keep an eye on them because they're constantly on my sites. With over 30 referring search engines, spiders crawl every 5 minutes or so.

 

AGreed, Awstats is what I use, but there are so many hits that it's almost null and void. However, I see the interest with new sites, making sure they are getting crawled properly.

Get yer backlinks.
