Why do people use websites like godaddy.com when there are sites that can host websites for free?

Most free hosts are unreliable and have crappy uptime. Industry leaders such as GoDaddy have enough money to invest in these services to provide a premium service to their customers. So remember, you get what you pay for

Unreliable = Site goes down several times a day

Uptime = The amount of time a site is online without going down, with most reputable hosts, this is usually 99.9%.

Defininately agree with NodeGeek. Also, if you buy a domain with GoDaddy you get free hosting. It is ad-supported though.

 

Free webhost have many downside such as high in down time,slow server,having ads.
