Noob question, how do you use templates in wordpress?

If anyone could help, i want to use this template on my blog,http://www.adii.co.za/testblog/ i am just struggling. Thanks, Zach.

 

Hello

You have to download the theme first...
using ftp upload this theme in to your wordpress Theme folder that is located at [wordpress_path/wp-content/themes/]

after that logon to your wordpress admin using your user name and password

after login...click on presentation tab

you will see some list of installed themes ....

select your recently uploaded theme from the list

Thats it.

Dashboard | Write | Manage | Comments | Blogroll | Presentation | Plugins | Users | Options

If you do use WP 2.5 "Presentation" is now called "Design" on your dashboard

Write | Manage | Design | Comments

I'm a fan of the ease/use of Wordpress, but I've recently installed Joomla 1.5 for a client and it is just as friendly as Wordpress, but seems much more powerful and easy to customize your layout and plenty of templates, which can be installed with just a few clicks (no ftp like Wordpress)

 

Does a Joomla 1.5 website really loads as fast as a Wordpress 2.5 site?

 

Well, not really sure...but it certainly depends on the amount of modules/components you choose to add to joomla.
