Noob question: how do I measure my unique visits?

Discussion in 'Traffic Analysis' started by mistermix, Aug 7, 2006.

Q1: How do I measure my unique visits per day for a particular site?

Q2: If my site appears first in the search results for my targeted keyword, does that make my site a PR1 site?

    all advice welcome

    thanks

A1: Use the log analyser your host provide you (awstat or something else) or use an external service like Google analytics and you will have those kind of stat.

A2: The ranking in SERPs doesn't determine PR. PR is calculated from many factors (backlinks, age of domain...) and higher the number, better the PR

You can install the Google toolbar or use a "page rank checker"

I'm asking this info because I want to know how much i should charge someone to place a text link on my home page.

According to that page rank checker link my site is pr3 and i get 100-150 uniques a day.

my site is very niche uk urban music related.

How can I price a text link?

Edit to the second post of this thread, I was wrong.

Should read : A2: The ranking in SERPs doesn't determine PR. PR is calculated mainly from backlinks. And higher the number, better the PR.
Ranking in SERPs is determined by many factors (backlinks, age of domain...).

    My mistake

    Thanks TOPS30
