NOOB Question ~ GO Daddy

Has anyone had any experience with Go Daddy? I have a few ideas for websites and I've run across Go Daddy for hosting etc. I'm sure there are others, but I'm not sure how to tell if one is better than another.

    Thanx,
    :)

if your a noob to webhosting then i wouldnt suggest godaddy at all since they do not provide any kind of organised control panel of any kind, they have certain restrictions too (so some scripts might not run)

if you know how to create databases, use FTP etc etc then godaddy is ok, i would however recommend asmallorange

Just-4-teens... Thanx for the reply. I briefly checked out the Small Orange web site. Seems like it's worth further inspection.

Control Panel? Do you mean a support staff to help with problems that arise or is the control panel an item I would utilize once there?

a control panel is the base of everything, from the control panel you can easily create email accounts, databases, subdomains, access file manager, install scripts and more with a click of a button.

    asmallorange.com uses cPanel (cpanel docs - http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cpanel/)
