Hello, I'm almost embarrassed to ask this, because I'm sure the answer is pretty obvious to most of you. But, I am a total beginner at this stuff and I haven't been able to figure it out. OKAY, so. Awhile ago I purchased a domain with 1&1. Today, I bought a hosting plan with them on the same account that came with a free domain, but I want to host a site on the domain that I bought previously. So basically, is there an easy way to transfer my old domain to the new hosting package that I'm just overlooking? Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this (perhaps I should be asking 1&1 and not you guys.. )
Really a question for 1and1. I have used 1and1 in the past and can understand how you probably have two "packages" now - one with the domain you had from before and the second with the hosing plan you purchased. You should check with 1and1 support (good luck by the way..) and confirm but I think that you should be able to have the name servers from your domain account point to 1and1 and then also assign the domain to your account with the web hosting account.
