Noob in need of help!

    Hey sorry to bother everyone but i was wondering if someone could help me get started on programming. Im completly new to it and all I understand so far is theres scripts you put into a text editor. If someone could please help me just to get started that would be great, Thanks!

    There are all kinds of programming but by your post on a web related forum I suspect you are wanting to know about programming aspects as it relates to the Web world.

    The first thing I suspect you should learn is html and branch out from there into php etc. All you need is wordpad or notepad to create an html document.

    I would buy a good html book and start reading.

    Learning HTML is the place to start. PHP has gained many followers, and I have worked with it, but my first programming language was PERL and prefer using it.

    HTML, JavaScript, PERL - I can make a website do whatever I want using these.

    I would also recommend getting a book. I know if you look long enough you can find out almost anything on the Internet, but a good programming book will save you time and money in the long run. Just depends how serious you want to get.

    ColdFusion is a nice easy transition from HTML to Serverside Language - once you are familiar with HTML
