noob google question dont give me hate

ok I have a site where I want to get it listed in the google search engine what do I do to do it? my sites www.advertisingview.com like when some one types "advertising" into google how do I make my site pop up first

stymiee that's a great list. I haven't seen one before so comprehensive, yet minus the usual bull.

Connections, you should probably focus on a more specific keyword first. Such as 'advertising websites' or 'free advertising websites'. A 2 or 3 keyword target phrase would be a much more achievable starting point.
