Oh no!!! Everybody run, its another NOOB!!!

    Hey everybody,
I am just looking for some sources on the basics of IM and some advanced concepts. I am a qucik learner, and I know my way around the net. I am proficient with Adwords and Adsense. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

What I need to know :

1.The article marketing is a little new of a concept for me and I would like any basic information on that as well.
2.I would like to know if anyone has a breakdown of how you track your traffic.
3.I am assuming stats of traffic come from the "hops" and also on the other end of the article marketing management typ page.
4.Any html code for using these tracking methods would be greatly appreciated.
5.Do you have to gather your own numbers and do CTR calculations?
6.How do you run effective split testing? Can that only be done with a domain? If so, how do you setup?

This should get me started, as I have read for a few days now on the basics of CB and how others are implementing certain strategies. If there is any general info you feel I should know other than what I have asked for, please feel free to share. Remember sharing is caring :D

And yes, I know what gravity is... :)

    Thanks Again for any help!!!!

I'll answer question #1: Article marketing, if you want to make a lot of money consistently, means that you are writing 20 or more articles a day. Or, you can build links to certain articles. Personally, I do not recommend building links to too many articles, as these directories ultimately have control over their fate.

I was about to run but I had a good day so I'll help you out.

    1. checkout "bummarketing method", good read for noobs.
    2. track using cb tracking you'll find in your account and track using your hosting
    3. Did you do any
    4. reading while you signed up for your cb account? You'll find this info there.
    5. yes and no, you can find most of that info with your cb account
    6. split testing means trying different ways and methods to make a sale or increase sales
yes, you could use different domains, landing page, format, layout, colors, graphics etc....
understand? Just means trying different things to see what works best. Then add a different
tracking code to each affiliate url to see results from each method.

That's good you know what gravity is, now you only have about 1 million more terms and synonyms you need to
remember and learn. lol :) jus messin with you.

If you want to learn more about Clickbank and how to get started checkout this blog post.

    cheers!

Knight1 : thanks for the info and your sense of humor is worthy of recognition.
    Istand the concept of how
I did read as far as the tracking goes on my CB account. My fuzzies come in right about where I need to understand the concept of inserting the individual "code" or numbers for tracking from each link I post and each landing page I end up testing.

Oh and thanks for the resources, they helped.

    cyclo394 :
When you say the directories have control over "their" fate ...who is they? "they" being the links and where they go or "they" being what happens to the articles themselves???

I'm saying that the article directories have ultimate control over your content. What if you spend a lot of time building link power to your articles, only for you to get the ban-hammer for some strange reason? Then they delete your content. Is it likely? No, but I prefer to post my content to my own site. I just don't like the amount of power that is given to these directories. This is not to say, however, that this strategy is not effective and profitable. Obviously it is.
