Sign up for the program here:
    http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join

Then read through some of the ways that you can promote products..there are many.
If you have a website or blog in place you can place single or multiple product widgets on your site.
You can also make an aStore for free, but that is hard going if you don't have something to help promote it, like a blog or website.

If you already have a site or two, and have hosting already set up, (or you can just register a domain, and get some hosting), then you may want to check out Associate-O-Matic, and build a full fledged store on it's own domain, and experiment with PPC advertising, and other forms of promotion.

I suggest picking a niche that you know, or know well enough to provide content to promote, and know what shoppers would be looking for.

There are a lot of ways to do Amazon, find the one that works for you.

I have 2 Associate-O-Matic stores in my sig, as well as an aStore embedded in my blog. The full stores on their own domains, seem to work better for me, others do well in other ways, and you can check some of the sigs in this section to get more ideas.
