hey everyone. My hosting came with some adwords credits so I registered and used the credits code. Now i entered my CC number and all and i set my limit to 5 bucks. Yes very cheap and low limit but i dont plan to use adwords i simply just wanted to use up the credit. Right now i have $15 of credit left after $5 of activition fee. I DONT ever wanna get charged on my credit card. So my question is since i set my limit to 5 bucks a month once if that limit is reached will my ad stop running? thanks!
nah after you used up your $15 limit a month .. they will charge your CC next month.. so when you used up your $15 just pause the account its simple. but i belive, when you activated your account they must have charged your CC, as they dont cut the activation feees from the adwords voucer
really? They subtracted -5 from my $20 credit. Therefore I was left with $15 left right now in the account. Man I shouldve asked before using it. I didnt wanna bother with paying through my credit card.
Also notice that when you set the the limit to a specific number... they can go little higher or little lower than that number. i.e. theymight charge you $6-$7 per month... or $4 or somthing like that. Becuse the ad serving is done from several dataservers.... by the time it ALL update that you've hit your limit... SOME data centers would have already charged you few clicks Also be careful,... becuse after the last Adwords update in last July... It became little harder to get CHEAP clicks, unless you really know how to maximize these $5 per month. If you (or anyone) are interested please PM. Tim
thanks for the info. Sounds scary if i dont pay attention to it. Maybe ill stop the ad right now. It saids i only used 0.06 cents so far. Who knows, I just dont feel safe having my CC stored and they are able to charge me anytime they want.
If you're only paying .06 a click then just let it run until you have a couple bucks in your account. Then pause your campaigns and forget you ever heard about AdWords. Everything is pretty easy to control with the daily budgets.
