Non us traffic, any tips to get some?

I have skewed demographics as most of my visitors are from the US.
I have done some basic research and have found that the US accounts for 20% of the internet traffic, however my numbers show 70% of my traffic comes from the US, so how could I increase the amount of traffic from Europe and Asia?

Any tips/success stories would be most helpful.

Runs an adword campaign for outside US countries or advertise in country specific portals.

You should get links on other non-us related websites or exchange links with other sites. What is your website about? Maybe you can participate in the coop network at DP.

If your site is hosted in the US then it won't show up in the serps from other countries. Not much you can do about it.

I don't agree - I have a couple of sites hosted in the US, their content is Italian and they're doing great on Google!

Yeap - what I mean is that I really don't think the *location* of your servers can affect SERP. Or better, It has a minimal impact compared to content and other SEO techniques.

Google have confirmed that the location affects which version of google you will show up in.

A .com site hosted in the US will not show up when you search google for UK sites.

You may not want to get non-US traffic as generally this traffic pays a lot less.

Why do you want foreign traffic?
