Hey guys, I had an opportunity to buy a huge amount of content, that isn't unique for super cheap! Now I went into this knowing that the content was not unique, it's probably all over the net .. much of it is a collection of free articles from submission sites, but frankly theyre good articles, for a pretty danged cheap price... (in fact, if I have reseller rights (I'm going to have to check into tht... I'll likely resell them) Anyway... Theyre used... we've established that right? hehe What great ideas does everyone have for giving 16,000 articles, that aren't original their best shot in the search engines? Before we get started here, there is no way I am rewriting 16,000 articles.. and I likely cannot alter the content itself, as it's written for backlinks etc.. So .. tags... other areas of the page .. etc... Cathy PS THANK YOU GUYS ! ! ! !
To sell 16,000 articles once for such small amount is outright unbelievable. Unless these have no quality at all, they deserve some decent value. Sites MFA would definitely make them income generators.
like i said, not unique.. Theyre mostly free for backlink submission articles, and .. are being resold.. that's why i need to change them up a bit to give them any chance at all to rank... Sites MFA? Not sure what that means? What does MFA stand for? Hey I got resellers rights LOL ~LadyH
yes.. I am sure there are a 'helluva lot of duplicates'... which is what i was asking about up there hehe I can't change the content of the articles, to do so would be to change the original authors work, which has his/her name signed and their backlinks etc.... I can however change my code, and other attributes of the pages.. add more text etc.. Since I'm obviously not the first owner.. What should I change to give myself the best chance in googles eyes? Any tips?
By reading the article you can actually derive ideas out of it and build a new article out of it. For Google to recognize an article it must not be exact copies of previously indexed pages so a duplicate entry on your page is simply ignored. I know this is a long and arduous job but I guess this is the right way to go.
That's great advice, really. I am a content writer, I definately understand the value in unique content However, we're talkin 16,000 articles here that I bought for less than ten bux I own a few sites, with %100 percent unique content.. In this case however, I'm just looking to change the pages around a bit real fast, and plop em up on a domain... $10 in google adsense and I've made my cash back..
Whoa, that's a great buy! I am also developing content but I have to rely on my brain and my understanding on other articles so it takes a long while to finish an article. Sorry I forgot to mention MFA stands for Made For Adsense. These are pages that are littered with Adsense ads. Glad to be of help to you.
You can do very well with duplicate content (I am), if you can get your own versions above the others in the search results. This shouldn't be too hard given that most article directories are not terribly well optimised. Categorise your articles into niches, and make sure that you have good internal links between them. Linking to related articles can be very effective, more so if it's across categories. You can also publish snippets of each article through RSS feeds, and then start syndicating it. See this thread for more details. If you do this well, then people will start subscribing to your feeds. Cryo.
I'm not sure ya linked me to the right thread there, but I did a search n found some great information! Thanx bunches!
Naples, Heh... very true. I love it when I search for a topic and find a page with two paragraphs mentioning it surrounded by adsense boxes and banner ads and pop ups... But, I look at it like this, there will always be spam and people trying to make thousands of MFA sites. It's inevitable, it's Google's job to quickly weed them out. And I suppose the people who report them help out too. It's like email : yea, it would be ideal if I didn't get 20 messages about viagra/cialis a day, but it's not gonna happen. -------- LadyHoldem But anyway, I wonder how accurate google is, I mean, could you just mass change a few phrases and mass change the spacing with some regex? Maybe throw in some html character codes. One of Matt Cutt's videos said they had "exact match" and "near match" filters. Probably tries to figure out what percentage is unique and what isn't. If it were me, and I was just trying to build MFA, I would probably change as much as possible with as little manual work as possible. =) 16,000 articles is gonna take a while... god. Even if you went through 100 articles a day making them semi-unique, it would take 160 days... LOL.. good luck!
well, actually, I kinda picked through and picked the subjects i like.. i took the work at home articles and added them to my work at home page.. business stuff went there too.. affiliate marketing went to that page.. etc.. My original plan was to just slap em up on a page and leave em be.. but there are actually quite a few good articles in there, so what the heck .. for now.. i just added the articles to exsisting sites, swapped out the code and added a link to the appropriate forum... as for the remaining subjects, that I don't happen to own an exsisting site on, I think I will likely stick with plan A. Cathy
It wouldn't really matter how long you finish the article. What matters is the quality of article you produce. With the temptation of quick money, it is easy to consider having to modify very few content and spend more time placing the adsense ads and uploading content. If the articles took a while to finish but the quality is excellent, that's very much worth it.
Hmm.. so ya think I should prmote state lotteries (particulalry the lotto ball type, not the scratch tickets.. ) along side my duplicate content?
hehehe well since it's still being sold, it probably will *sigh* but it shouldn't take to much to make my money back in the meantime here's an example.. http://www.jammiesatwork.com/adsense/index.html
The non unique content can help just the site that postet first that content. The duplicate content can help you, but no so much like the originaly site. You can be considered like a referer of the originaly site...
