Hi there i am trying to make a living off the internet i have been trying for over 2 years now. I have my own site which get little traffic despite working on it non stop.

What i want to know now is i will try to market affiliate links direct and i need to know ways to market these links. I have read the forums and have heard of members earning $1000+ monthly marketing links from Commission Junction and Clickbank.

But my problem is this i am low on investment so is there some free ways to generate enough traffic to make sale's using affiliate links as I'm not sure if i can get search engine traffic from these links as i am not certain if they will pickup and crawl affiliate links.

I have used many methods so far and below they are:

Article Submission = Virtually no traffic doing 6 submissions weekly.

Forum Signatures = 48 monthly clickthroughs but not 1 conversion.

Directory Submissions = Virtually no traffic i have submitted to many sites.

Is there any other ways that have worked fro you and is there any type of secret methods these marketers use to just grab traffic from nowhere as if from magic.

You have a forum??? It’s very hard to get a forum going.
On top of that it's a webmasters forum which is a very hard market to get into. I don’t know how to help you get more traffic but if you’re interested in making more money I would suggest ClickBank. I’ve been using them for about a month and have had very good results.

That’s what happen to me. Only after 9 months did I start seeing Google bring in good traffic. Now around 33% of my traffic comes from Google.

If there is a lot of competition, you will have to consider unconventional methods or change your niche.

if i may ask, what is your topic about. 2 years is a long time for a site. Considering the work you are doing you should be doing well.

E.g. are you in computing, medicine etc

Well, unfortunately in your situation the only thing that really helps
is advertising. Buy ads on related sites that already have traffic.
Do this until your visitors come from natural search results.

So basically you have to 'get them' where the are already, and make
it look interesting for them to come over to you.

Key question: "What's in it for THEM"?
answer that question, and make sure they hear about it.
That's effective advertising where all parties win.

I would suggest trying to get your site listed on as many freebie sites in categories like 'webmaster resource'. Thats what Ive done and its worked a treat.

If you check out this page: http://www.merlesworld.com/graphics.htm (im in no way affiliated with the site)

My site is the very top one in the list titled 'stock images'. This is a PR 4 page and the site has soom good rankings on Google. This link was completely free and the site owner didn't even ask for a linkback! I did have to e-mail them twice and it took about 4 weeks for an eventual reply but I now have that great free targetted permanent listing!

I would go down that route if I was you. Regards.
