Non-Royalty Free Music Allowed In YouTube Videos?

    Hi Guys,

I see a lot of videos on YouTube that use songs they clearly don't have the rights to (like Metallica or the Beatles). Are you allowed to use these songs in your videos?

Also, what about footage. I see a lot of "copy right" footage like South Park episodes. Is that legal?

    Thankz!

I have seen both copyrighted music and footage, but being illegal in general terms, there must be a provision on this issue that you would probably can find reading YouTube's community guidelines, www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines

No. Anything copyrighted must be given permission by the copyright holders to post such things on Youtube or any other place for that matter.
