I cant figure out why google puts sooooo many "blog" ads on my damn site. Can someone help me out? using the adsense tool here: http://www.123promotion.co.uk/tools/google-adsense-tool.php it says i should have a whole bunch of ads about css on my site... what do i get? like 90% blog ads! grrr! heres my new site: http://vinylnoise.blogspot.com/2006/05/how-to-create-website-part-1.html could it be because i signed up for adsense through blogger? or maybe that the site is still new?
Sadly, because your site is a blog it is littered through the system and AdSense picks up on that. it could also be that those sites have put CSS into their list of words to request. However yours is a common complaint from bloggers on all platforms.
As sarahk said, this is a common complaint with blog-based sites. Just give it time (days to weeks). Meanwhile, add more content so that when Google returns to spider your site, it'll have plenty of content for it to choose keywords from. Your first mistake was having so little content when you applied, thus when G sent its spider to find keywords that first time, you barely had anything for it to find, so it just grabbed onto the most keywords it could find -- blogs, blogs, blogs. Now your only option is to continue adding more content, in particular add as many entries as you can about whatever you're ads you're trying to target, so that when G's spider returns, it'll grab onto those keywords.
