Non-Premium names turning Premium at Enom!?

    Hi,

A nice three-character domain has been in my possession for some five years, registered at Enom.

Apparently, they have now decided to charge a Premium-prize?!!

I haven't read the fine print - formally they probably are in their right to do this, without any sanctions from me. Or??

Any views or ideas on the matter will be appreciated. Changing registrar is not an option.

    Thanks! M:mad:

well i'm sure whatever they're doing is within their rights, read their TOS just to be sure, also i also got a few emails from the registrars that they will be having a price increase so this is a current trend

I thought that price for the domain name differs only by domain name extension.... So they really want more because that is LLL domain? To be honest It seems not legal.

Just wondering; if you were to transfer it to a different registrar, would it be considered premium
    reg/renewal there too?
It is worth looking into, IMO.

yeah definitely email ICANN and explain the situation. if you had registered it years ago you own it, not enom. thats like saying you leased a car and still paying it off five years later, they decided to rise the price for that make/model and making you pay for it.
