I am in the process of developing a new site. What I am doing is making a single page and uploading it to the server. Now, these pages contain links to pages which I plan to develop in the future, but do not exist at the moment. Will this cause any problem on the SEO front?
Nothing you won't recover from, but personally i would find an alternative option. Block these URL's in Robots txt at least, or change your coding method to prevent 404's.
That's not a good practice. You should upload pages only when they form a completely working set of pages. Then you will be able to update them when you add new pages. If you upload pages with broken links, this will create problems with search engines and it will give a bad image to the visitors of the site. Jean-Luc
what is your purpose of putting that links to your page? i suggest you create this page first before showing this links... regards!
I would agree that first make the other pages, even if its only one sentence or two (if you are running an article site) or place the service that you are offering again reworded.
