You know those threads - you contribute ONCE and then it continues to appear on your CP under your subscribed threads and proceeds to bore you to tears for months, until you finally realise the thread is NEVER going to get interesting and you unsubscribe. My nominations for the Most Pointless, Irritating Thread on DP Forums are as follows: Runner-up: Now get paid to use this forum (no joke) - a near-legendary thread, now packing PR3, but that has long since stopped having any point to it. Consists of an endless cycle of the same posts repeated: "It won't accept my publisher ID", "Is it a breach of Adsense TOS?", "How much money will I make?" Spoilt only by someone recently claiming they made $10 a day from DP revenue-sharing, a bare-faced lie which actually made the thread interesting for 2 minutes. Hands-down winner: What is Froogle? - this thread just runs and runs. One person explains what Froogle is, somebody with 3 posts in their history writes "thanks for the explanation", then not longer after someone writes "I am still not quite sure what Froogle is", and so the discussion continues, ad nauseam. I am sure you can supply some other examples though!
How about: Hack Adsense-My Own Idea-Plz Review It Not quite lengendary, but still drumming up a little interest after a month and a half. Always makes me chuckle when I read it.
You're very funny, I love how you worded and typed all that. You would make a very good blogger, you should look into it. My nomination would be any PR thread, they always run forever with idiotic replies as far as the eye can see.

Ha, very kind of you to say so - actually, I have a few blogs, but I have trouble obeying one of the basic rules: frequent, regular blogging I need to kill a couple of them, I think! Yes, I wonder how many threads there are called "What is PR?" or some variation thereof!
anyway, the problem is that people don't read. Those mofo are too lazy to find out anything by themselves. and usually those idiot also make thread asking "why i spend 3 month on adsense and earn less than a dollar a day"
Honestly, I don't venture out of the general or marketplace forums much anymore. DP is a great place to learn the basics, but after that it's all just recycled threads and info. You do get people sharing new ideas and methods, but it's like finding a needle in a haystack. All the really hardcore secrets and information people keep tight lipped about. So you just end up reading the same jibber jabber over and over.
The Froogle thread STILL continues in its pointless vein. As of today we have another two INCREDIBLY INFORMATIVE posts on there, one of them saying: "thank you for the useful information" (or similar) and another explaining what Froogle is. The futility continues, unless you can come up with a more pointless thread!
