Am planning to buy Nokia N95 8 GB. I found 2 sellers who have these payment methods and I need some advise if there methods are not scams.
    Copied exactly from their emails..

    SELLER 1
“All i want you to do is this get to western union send the money to my payment agent, block the money control number with which i can pick the money, forward the reciept to me and I'll ship the goods if the goods are original, send me the money control Number so I can pick up the money.
the reason for the reciept is to be sure the payment was made.”

    SELLER 2
“We can do COD in this method, you will make payment via western union or money gram to any name you like(friend/brother) as receiver of the payment and UK as address of the payment, when make the payment you will send us the payment silp as proof that you make the payment, after the confirmation of the payment, we will ship immediately to you when you receive the package, you now go back to western union or money gram to change the dateails of the payment to our details to enable us collect the money."

    Thankx in advance.

Something is fishy if their payment methods are so complicated.

As long as they do not have the Money Transfer Control Number (also known as MTCN) they should not be able to extract the cash. Even after you send the cash with the receipt i believe you can cancel the payment :)

Perhaps you could find more information on
