Hey dp members, This news might give you a shock but now-a-days NOKIA mobile phone batteries of range BLC 5 are bursting and damaging the mobile even. It is happening mostly during the time of charging the mobile. Though NOKIA has replaced all the defectives but still it is heard that mobile batteries are bursting. I was think of buying a NOKIA N73 Music Edition but now i am afraid of buying it.Please suggest me guys what to do?Is it safe now to buy Nokia Mobiles? Please suggest me !
There is nothing wrong with a Nokia Mobile dude. Its just the battery which you could be afraid of. 1) Don't use 'BLC 5' batteries. (I guess they wouldn't even be available in the market) 2) Do not over charge your mobile. 3) Stay away from fire. 4) If you ever think that the temperature of your mobile is getting hot. Switch it Off and take out the battery. Either dispose the battery or take it to a service center and get it replaced .
Man, only the battery is the culprit.. not the handset. Stop charging when it started getting hot. Nokia N73 Music Edition uses BP-6M Li Polymer batteries, you can buy it without any doubt.

I like Nokia and I have been using their mobile phones since 2000. I just had my batteries replaced just so I am not worried they will explode.

Nothing to worry about. Check the phone and the batteries it uses with your dealer before confirming the deal.
I am glad I do not use nokia..... I have a sprint ppc... Emagine a cell phone blowing someone ears off..... THat would not be a preety scene!
Even your sprint ppc could explode if the battery gets very hot due to overcharging or any faults in it....
Just buy one if it breaks send it to nokia saying you want a new one they will soon get the picture when there out of about $30million profit becuase of all the free replacements!
