Suggestion NoIndex Link Sales

    Since it is not something that should be right under the crackpot's over at the big G, why not have that part of the forum shut off to the robots? You'd be amazed how often those threads come up if you filter the results by date/time like I often do.

    What do you think?

    Nope, not trying to hide anything from Google. If people want to post something, but not have it indexed, they should be using the [obf] BBCode.

    For what it's worth I think it's a good idea to hide the posts, or at least put an option in the New Thread field where you can hide the thread from search engines. Nothing worse than searching for your site and find the sell thread listed.

    Interesting. I didn't know about that code.

    How does it work if you use it in one post? Does it not index the whole page or just an individual post?

    It prints the text using java script document.write, As Search Engines can't index javascript it is invisible to it.
