Here is the situation: Someone wants to place a link on your website without "nofollow" tag and pay you $$$ monthly. Will you take the risk and $$$? In my understanding Google is not yet good at finding paid links unless someone report it. What are the outcomes if this is only one paid link on your website without "nofollow"?
