hi i had a blog and i noticed that on the comments section people can use hyperlinks for the posting name. how can i change it so theres no links/ no follow? the blog is currently powered by wordpress.com thanks for your help
This is the wrong section. WP comments are nofollowed by default. Not sure I understood you're question, but if you want to switch to "followed" links, there is a WP plugin called "do follow". Just Google it, you'll find it.
http://pagerankblogs.com/2007/02/03/quick-way-to-get-listed-in-dmozorg/#comment-1846 ok when you go to that link and click on the commentors name "ventswap" it brings the viewer to his website. is there a way to make it nofollow?
<a href='http://www.ventswap.com' rel='external nofollow'> it is no followed. the link still works if you click on it.
Well I checked it out and it is nofollow. I think what you are trying to ask is to remove the link. i.e. not have a link at all. For that you will have to edit the theme. Btw nofollow is a rule for the search engines not to follow the link, it is not applicable to humans/visitors. Cheers!!!
Blogs by default are nofollow. To remove the link completely, do as trafficfacts said and alter your theme.
