Hi Guys, I am not sure that nowadays nofollow link counts by Google or not? Please let me know if you have any information in it. Thanks, Tom
I think it is not counted by google. It's just like a text for google. but maybe some one will copy it then open the nofollow link.
depends what you're looking for your links to do - in my mind any links to your site are good as they provide it with increased exposure and traffic, however no-follow links do not provide you with 'page rank juice'.
There are two different types of nofollow. One Google's bots don't follow one they do but don't give any link juice to. Either way you can still get traffic from nofollow sites so they aren't bad to have.
You can't get PR link juice from those nofollow links. But it gets indexed by google, can give traffic.
Nofollow links is not counted but for me it is okay to have a nofollow link so that it will look natural and Google won't notice when you do backlinks.
Holy crap, another one of these posts about no/do follow and whether they 'count.' First off, unless you are Matt Cutts or work for Google, you'll never know exactly how google feels about nofollow links and whether they give some credit or no credit in terms of increasing the Search Engine Results for specific keywords. Some people say nofollow links are useless, some say they are useful for the SERPS, one thing is clear, a nofollow link could still be 'clicked' by an interested party, and that Unique Visitor is what you should be after. In my experience I've found that stressing about no/do follow links is pointless. Either you develop quality content and get Natural Links, or you don't. By trying to 'beat the system' you may increase your ranks, but only temporarily. Wouldn't you want to spend the extra time developing compelling content and getting visitors/links that way or would you rather search out all the dofollow forums and blogs and make pointless comment-links that get diluted by the hundreds of other crap-links? For those who say no-follow links aren't "counted" by google, you haven't a clue about what you're talking about. For all we know Google DOES count them but doesn't transfer any 'juice' or maybe depending on the quality of the site (and other factors) maybe the link is counted. Who knows, and better yet, who cares. Sorry for the rant, but there's just so many people asking the same old question. Go focus on the Content and Quality of your site. If people like it you will get the links, visitors, etc.
It's not just like a text for Google, because with nofollow link, a Google bot can visit your webpage and index it.
here's an article saying they do count, but not as much. but the way I look at it. Why not try to build them. It certainly can't hurt. Plus someone could actaully click on a link. The old fashion way. =P michellemacphearson com/do-nofollow-links-count-redux/
No follow links are not counted. But in search engine presence are important. So, dont worry about that.. Leave that problem & generate quality backlinks not quantity ...
