NoFollow in wordpress

Hi

Having nofollow in the wordpress , is it good or bad ?
does this affects the traffic to the site ?
Please any one clear this ...

Unless your traffic is target towards webmasters and SEOs; your 'genuine' traffic shouldn't be affected irrespective of whether you are using a nofollow or not.

You would get lot more people visiting your blog to leave a comment when your blog is dofollow

 

Leave dofollow, so more bloggers, seo's will visit your blog and leave comment, but it means many comments, and more spam.

 

Nofollow is good to stop having duplicated content by "noindex, follow" category and tag pages. and nofollowing the login page etc. To stop dividing your pagerank with useless pages (useless to give pagerank to that page).

But for outbound links you should should decide for yourself what your strategy is:

Leaving comments nofollow:
-A lot less spam or comments form people only commenting because of the link.
-stop flowing your valuable pagerank to other sites.
-stop flowing pagerank to unrelated sites
-stop flowing pagerank to unwanted links to increase the value of the links you have chosen to be there.

Having Dofollow links:
-Stimulate people to comment:
-more comments results in a more active looking community, with the result that you look more trustworthy.
-By having to option to get mail notifications of the comments you increase the pageviews by letting the commenters-for-the-link-people- come again to your site.
-After commenting you have their email addresses for newsletters maybe?

 

dofollow will help you in getting traffic but beware of spammers.

 

make it do follow if you want more traffic. Otherwise it's ok to continue with no follow as it stops duplicate traffic and gets you real visitors

You will get more page indexed on search engines by using "Nofollow" tags.. This is my personal opinion and experience..
I do not appreciate usage of "nofollow" tags.. I hate spammers, especially porn spammers..

 

While there’s nothing wrong to put the nofollow tag, it will actually encourage honest and genuine comments rather than from somebody who just do it for the sake of getting backlinks. I would say stick to what you have decided in the first place.

dofollow doesn't even exist. A link is dofollow by default. So unless you see a nofollow, then all your links are dofollow.
The biggest concern is either you want to attract spammers or not....make sure you are not in ANY dofollow lists....

 

get traffic by allowing dofollow. When everyone has commented, remove all comments

If you want to profit in another method which implies many visitors use dofollow.

 

this isnt not bad.. having nofollow attribute a way of filtering link juices..

it wont harm your site,,.
