    Hello,

I recently launched a blog and it runs on Wordpress. I haven't many visitors yet, so I thought maybe I should do some linkexchanges.

I have no pagerank yet. But I'm a bit confused how and when I should or should not use nofollow. I want to boost my pagerank, so I was told to be careful to use follow or nofollow.

I want to make a page and list some interesting blogs and websites + short description.

I want to exchange links with websites from pagerank 4, 5, 6 and higher. Should I let search engines follow or nofollow these links? I want to build up high pagerank!!!

I also see Wordpress uses rel='external nofollow' in the comments. What's the differnce between rel="nofollow" and rel="external nofollow"?

I think is better put nofollow in links comments and build a list wich the link you want to exchange and dofollow wich this links, is more safe.

Linking and follow to low pageranks site is not a good idea, but what about high pageranked sites.....is it better to follow or not to follow, just for my own pageranks

The ONLY reason to nofollow on links is in a situation where you are being spammed.
If you are choosing to list links of blogs and sites because you like them, putting a nofollow on those links is stupid and mean, regardless of their PageRank. You don't lose anything by linking to them.
And why would anybody exchange links with you if you're nofollowing?
