you may want put ads in more viewable or readable options instead on side top or bottom, try to blend them with tax, or if still does not work, may be you would want add CPV or cpm ads in your site to earn more

put your ads just below the post title and the content. blend the layout of your ads to match your website color.

Visitor now are smart enough, they would not simply click on the ads unless your website is rich of content

The point of pay per click ads is that they attract people who are interested in the product/service being advertised. It could be that the ads do not interest your readers, or your bounce rate is high because your blog does not interest readers. You need people to stay on your blog long enough to digest and perhaps show interest in your ads. Content quality is key. The days of being able to make money autoblogging or having low quality content are disappearing fast.

Think about the readability of your content and the suitability of the ads displayed to your target audience.

The OP asked about improving clicability of his publishing places.

Obviously keeping people on the site as long as possible rather than having a high bounce rate is more conducive to making publishing spots on his website work.

Says the person promoting CPM ads. PPC is alive and well and many advertisers and publishers appreciate the value it provides them. With Pay per Click ads, advertisers have peace of mind knowing precisely what they will pay per visitor and publishers gain tangible returns for their ad space.

You may want to try In-text advertising like Infolinks or Kontera which can be co-exist with your existing PPC advertisements

    Cheers!
