If anyone here is familiar with Noah's Classifieds, I would really appreciate your help.

Is there any way to display the username of the person who posted an ad?
I have been trying to figure out who posted an ad but even the admin cant see the owner of an advertisement. I need a way to display the username in the ad or at least enable the admin to find out.

    Any help ?

It has been a few years since I played with this one. Doesn't the usename show in the ad body? Pm or post your test site and let me refresh my memory. I hacked away on this script quite a bit.

If not the username, then i need some kind of ID or unique no. so that I have a way to refer to a particular ad.

@uca - there's not a lot of options. plus i dont know any php, so editing is pretty hard for me. do u have a site too?

btw, is this an outdated system? (judging from your replies)

No I don't have a website as I decided not to go ahead with that project already in the very early stages.

I was tempted by that script because I have it in Fantastico, but I heard very few people using it.

Nevertheless don't let that put you off, as I ended up not even trying it in depth.

I hope you can get much better help than the one I gave you! Sorry!:)

I know, not a lot of people use it. Their unofficial support forum is dead. And there isnt even an official support forum. Finding help for it is a nightmare.

Is it the only script you have found for the purpose?

If the support forum isn't there anymore, I would be very wary of basing a project on such script...

I really wish I could help. Unfortunately I didn't develop that project, I might in the future, but not yet.

So I am afraid that you are going to be left alone in this, I can't see many members joining in the thread to help.

I would look in other forums, maybe even more specific than this one, before even starting out. Most of my projects would have suffered very badly if I didn't get support in forums.

Sorry I am not of any real help, I can only wish you luck!

If you go ahead maybe you'll want to share your experience with us...

    Thanks!

    :)

You can find the users from the "users" tab, there you can match the ads email adress with the users, and perhaps find the userid.
    Site example: http://www.palsforfree.com/
