no word back from google about accidental click....

I still use freaking AOL dialup if you guys can believe it.... and I call myself a webmaster..... This means that I can't block adsense ads from showing on my computer since my ip changes all the time.

3 days ago I made an accidental click. I would have just let one mistake go, google knows sh*t happens, but it was 1 of only 2 clicks the site has received, so I figured it would be flagged right away. I shot an email off to google saying I know they keep a close eye on this stuff..... but just in case they hadn't caught it and nullified the click, I told them to do so.

I didn't know where to find which google email address I should send this to, so I went into the help center of adsense, and somehow found some site that had an email form on it going to adsensehelp @ google.com or something...

Well it's 3 or 4 days later now and they still haven't replied, or nullified the click. Any cause for concern.... What should I do now?

I believe that every publisher is allotted a certain number of accidental/"test" clicks, especially newcomers to Adsense. Just don't do it too often. You should not lose sleep over it.

What your doing is stupid. What will get flagged is you admitting to clicking your own ads. If you accidently click your own ads, let it go. They will most likely not get counted -- and you will be fine.

I agree these NEWB publishers are pathetic. Oh well, I hope the get banned... :) more money for us.

Think about it, emailing google about an accidental click is like telling a cop you bought bad drugs from that guy over there...

Wrong. You can still use FireFox' NoScript and other ad blockers. Or deny the AdSense host in your host file. Or change your user agent and built a checker into your site which looks for that variable, or use cookies. And then you still have another hundred options.

I disagree, I have been running adsense for over a year and there have been many times where I have accidentally clicked. Well not many, but a few. Each time I emailed them and I was glad that I did, they replied some stupid form email saying how you should never click your own ads, but my account has been safe. I recommend always alerting them to your own stupidity.

One click is not a big problem... but clicking again and again will create rpoblem for you... so just try to avoid

Keep telling them you click your own ads ;)

1-2 clicks if fine. I dont see how anyone can accidently click on their own ads over 1-2 times.
