why would that be? I think the source gives better support and faster response time than reseller. And 100mbps port is only $5 more. So $135+5 = $140. WOW Just saved myself $40.

There is no reason to ruin his post people already know its from lime stone, servers resellers can offer better support and the fact that if they have sold lots of servers they get discounts and faster response times so in the end it is much better to have a server from a reseller, unless its a burstnet reseller then it is just bad,

For example: Why do you think we get our servers from zenex5ive.com when we can get them from FDC (source) for much cheaper?
    Better support, management, etc.

to be honest charging $40 more is a bit steep for support as you said in your first post it is "un-managed" just like limestone so whatever support the end user needs you have no intention of providing or maybe shooting a support ticket to limestone and having them issue a response. To me this is shady business. If you were to say offer managed servers for that extra $40 bang I would probably agree a little that it MIGHT be worth it. But with limestone I would say their servers are great as well as their support and nothing compared to FDC and their relationship with zenex5ive.com.

in other words what can you provide with that extra $40 that limestone can't? They're more experienced, they're established, they own the DC and have remote access to the server. You have... $40 in your pocket with which the client can be using to do so much more with.

That is correct, but sometimes we help with things that limestone wont, these are un-managed, but we always try to help with anything we can. Zenex is just awesome compared to FDC.

Limestone does not charge $12 per issue. Maybe when you first got your server, but they do not charge for support tickets.
