No traffic in months?

I recently created a website[2 months approximately]. My first site btw. Did a fairly good job I think, unique content to the best of my ability, about 60 urls, and still have yet to see ANY organic traffic. Am I sandboxed, should I wait, or dump the site, info on this would be very great. I definately need some help. Thanks in advanced.

What is the website address? It can take a long to time to get indexed in the search engines, but you should definitely see traffic within a week from other sources.Have you used social marketing and blog commenting? You could also put your sig-file in place in this forum.

keep finding ways to advertise it is not a one time event for traffic. Its just you dont have your site in front of people

run a few ads and place alot of free classified ads to gain exposure

Have you submitted your site to directories, have you done link trading, article marketing or any other type of promotion for the site?

Your site seems to be indexed with Google. You need to add more good content to your site and the traffic will come.Start building incoming links, try blog commenting.Download a free software called commentkahuna and post good and helpful comments on sites related to yours.

    Have you done any SEO?
Using a social bookmarking service is the fastest way to "get noticed" earlier

Not sure if my thread has capture your attention. You can read it on how I manage to get 15,000 visitors from 1 source for a 2 months blog in here.

From the marketing efforts you have done, it is definitely not enough. Submitting just 1 article is equivalent to not submitting at all. Article marketing is more on quantity as well.

Link it in your forum signature in whatever forums you are in.. that helps google find your site through the forum.. and assuming that you're posting on it, it's most likely active, meaning google will browse it fairly often.

It's impossible if you are doing SEO.

I am slowly commenting on many people's blog in my niche and i'm getting pretty decent traffic...

Your best bet is just to do a lot of advertising and "hit gaining methods".
    - Posting on forums.
    - Using free ad websites.
    - Using social book marking websites.
    etc.

It appears that you've had 870 visitors.

As stated earlier, if you haven't been doing any SEO, that would help you get 'noticed' much faster in the search engines. Also, actively updating your content would help too.

Just because you submitted your site to the search engines does not mean you are going to get traffic. There are, God knows how many sites that don't get any. Remember, you aren't the only one vying for that kind of traffic, and just so many sites can be shown.

That's the reality of search engines that many people, especially noobs dont get.

And why would you "dump" your site, just because you aren't getting any organic traffic?

Did you know that organic traffic is one of the worse when it comes to selling something?

Just about all of them are curiosity seekers, they are looking for free stuff, they are bored surfers at work....

Don't act too hastly. Try advertising. That is the best way.

I think the thing to remember with marketing is its not just a one shot thing. Everyday you need to post in forums, post in blogs, post on social bookmarking, networking sites, update your site, etc...

Only way to get any organic traffic is to build up links as often as possible, and create content that makes others want to link to you. Links are the currency of the web, and with them comes traffic.

Keep on building some back links to your site. You won't get any traffic from search engine if you don't get your site on top of their listing.

Thanks for all the input, yea i'm pretty active on twitter. I will submit more articles, comment on more blogs and polish up my squidoo lenses. I just figured that when i do a search for my keywords 10 pages deep, I would see my site listed, maybe not. Will start working on some of these things, Thanks again. And what are you talking about jpierce i'm working on the wrong thing? I would like to know, thx.
