No Traffic From Google News, Despite Being Indexed

hey folks, I am trying to figure out why my news blog does not receive any traffic from Google News, depsite being approved and the articles being indexed almost immediately after publishing?

The content is all unique. We've been included in Google News for well over a year, but never really any traffic. Because of this, we've had to slow down publishing news because of cash flow issues, but we're going to pick up the pace again to publish more daily news.

Any tips though? Has this happened to anyone? Is your blog included but no traffic from Google News? Maybe you have to be included for a longer period of time? The site has a PR5.

    Thanks for your help guys.

Mate, you will need to find out to which country your content is being displayed.

I had a blog once that received about 7000 uniques a day from GN and that suddenly dropped to about 50. I found that GN syndicated the news to one specific country only.

    hey, thanks for your reply.

i would assume it is the USA...

any ideas how i could get some traffic? maybe Google doesn't value the site enough?

Like I said, each story is indexed almost immediately after publishing, but no traffic.

I hear some amazing stories with other sites that get included, they begin to get thousands of visitors on each story. thanks!

No, if your site appears on the USA section you will get a large number of traffic! Despite your article.

Rather contact Google news and enquire about the geographical location on where your articles are displayed.

My very first GN site appeared on the USA section and I used to get almost 30 000 unique visitors a day from only 3-5 articles. That the is busiest section.

Alternatively, add a new article. Go to Google News and click on United States. See if it displays there.
