No Such Thing as a Manual Directory Submission?

OK. I have seen tooooo many of "Manual Directory Submission" ads on DP.
Does anyone actually believe that such service exists? I don't.

A guy or a bunch of guys sitting there and manually submitting the 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 or any other package they sold? And doing it for $10 - $40? C'mon.

All you new comers to DP - pay attention! All those services use auto submitters. Which is OK. If they submit the same data and to the same category as the "manual submitter would", what is the difference?

You will read all those posts by the "experts" saying. Manual submission is best. Can anyone show me the difference between submitting the same information manually or automatically?
No matter how you slice it, it is the same information being submitted.

Any comments? Looking forward to "hear" your opinions.

Manual directory submission is too time consuming to be done at very low prices. I guess they are using semi-automated directory submission means... I agree with the original poster.

Manul submission is very much possible, especially for students done as a part time job. The rate may be too low for western standards but not for developing countries. 8 hours work for a $10 or so is not bad for an unskilled person, in India or other south asian countries.

But the fact about manual submission to free directories is that it makes no real benefit from SEO point of view. Most of the sumissions never get approved or get linked in very deep pages that are never visited by SE bots. Even otherwise most free to all kind of directories are penalised by google and backlinks from them doesnt count. You only get few links from spammy sites, nothing more.

I have done manual directory submission for others but at a price where it actually was manually done and i provided enough detailed information in a report afterwards.

Plus one of the requests was very specific which meant it could only be done manually.

I agree that the silly prices for 1k+ should set off alarms bells in most people.

We all know that there's a software that exist which contains thousands of directories and with very little effort, one can submit to hundreds in such a short time.

The bad part about is that the admin of the directory which was submitted to, gets an URL place in the wrong category and to me this is an indication that an auto submitter was use and I usually delete it without giving much thoughts.

People who pay those guys that use the software - be aware that if you get a deal worth $10 for 1000's directory submissions, well it generally means that you need to stay away from that, because it is impossible to submit that many using manually and out of 1000's that are listed in that software are not even free because what was free then may not always free later.

It does not matter if $10 in some countries are a good days of work for them, they will always find ways to cheat you, submitting 100's (manually) is a very tiring process even for the experts. so choose them wisely.

I have evaluated the software and got the knowledge on how it works and have used the submission services in the past. The 500 directory submission I paid for $15 I believe only 7 was approved and ever since I been doing it manually using the plugin below.

I recommend this tool for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/673 for submitting manually.

form fillers are gr8! Thanx .. will try this one wwws,

i use this usually, and made my task a hell lot easier,...
i think the reason i ended up submitting the same description/keywords to more directories i should,
( when i dropped a greenie from the bar! :( or perhaps random changes to my site! )

but yeah in no circumstances can anybody submit to a 1000 directories for just $10! ... has to be some software somewhere,..
and half the quality directories would not even let the submission thru, which look spammy for one, and in the wrong category the other...

and now that i (like many others) have my own anti bot code up, i receive no remote submissions at all; all gets filtered out!

The majority of manual submissions are done manually. Some are done quite well. On the other hand, anyone offering more than 200 submissions for $10 starts to exceed the physical abilities of humans.

you guys are right... the average market price of quality manual directory submissions is from $0.06-$0.15 per submission(60$-150$ per 1000 submissions) which is reasonable. anything like 500 submissions for $2 is 99.9% automatic or semi-automatic submissions.

I had good experiences with webmasteradvices.com, they sell submissions a bit low from average( $0.05 each) but their submissions are good quality as well. Currently they offer 2 packages: 150 manual submissions for $7.49 and 450 manual submissions for $19.99.

If you use the coupon code "WA15" you get 15% off! that is 0.04 per submission.

I hope my post is useful for someone who wants affordable dir submissions...

A couple years ago I was offering such service and it took me 3.5-4 hours to manually submit to 100 directories. The prices were $35 for 100 directories then not $3-$4. To be honest I have my doubts too that is why I prefer to submit them myself.

Even i don't believe that submitting to 1000 directories manual for $10, is not so worthy.
one thing is to check the report weather your service/product listed in that url's.

It's all BS for sure, and 10 hours of work for $10 BS even in India. They are not using semi-automate thing, they use some auto script which simply spam dirs.
