    like i never saw somebody posting about an viagra product 500 times in all the categories?!

    good point, daily i get spammers for xbox, or mobiles on my vbulletins...maybe they have fast fast moderators

    Yep Shawn you have. And a great way to report as well and to close down people that missbehave.

    Actully the viagra thing you can close pretty quick just use a filter.

    If you use the spy tool you will see loads of spammers on the forum every day... but their posts only live for a few minutes

    Is the script use in DP to in removing spam post are custom made? Do you know where is a good open script that I can download to prevent spammer in infiltrating a vbulletin forum?

    There are some tools we use that are custom. Wouldn't make much sense to give out the source code to them, because then people can figure out how to get around our stuff. :)

    hm i have seen some guy spamming for a shoe-site here some months ago (faked brands, business adress somewhere in china). but i think that was a great spam post because his english was so poor and his site so lame (frontpage, ugly fonts and colors, even worse than all this "buy this stupid ebook"-sites) it was just entertaining to see all this "how to make a bad website" examples on one spot :)

    Well i try not only spammer but also people selling warez and other things. Spam is pretty easy to see. I have DP in my google desktop and i can see almost all the new post coming in and i am almost always first.

    That off course and a bucket with Red Bull

    I manage another forum and I always appreciate when my moderators and forum members alert me to spam. I even set up a special Buy/Sell/Trade/Promote section as a place for people to tout their wares. Still, even that forum can get overrun if we aren't careful.

    DP does an awesome job containing the spammers and it isn't easy work.

    I will be honest, but i have never seen a forum like this, which is so spam free and has such a good team of moderators, of which dont fight with each others decisions in the forums. (Unsure if they fight out of DP tho...)

    so far, it is amazing.

    Maybe DP Forums contains malware, making this a 45K botnet... When a spammer tries it on, a filter finding "Nokia", "Viagra" etc. sends a command to the botnet to DDOS attack the spammer making them think twice next time.
