Two weeks ago I launched a discussion forum. The domain is cctld. I know traffic will take time and this is subjective but when can I receive my first sign up?

In those two weeks I haven't received a single sign up. I am trying to keep forum alive by posting myself. So far I have made close to 200 posts in around 50 threads using 10, 12 users.

What do you suggest I do to promote it and when did you receive your first sign up when you started a forum?

    You need to advertise
You need to get your friends and family to support your efforts
Most successful new forums are run by people who already have a name and people want to be part of the network. Are you well known on other sites or social media?
When sites let you have a signature use it! You have a wasted opportunity right here.

I would take down the forum...
like @sarahk has said, it would be best if people already know who you are...
If you are a vendor, and have traffic, then some type of forum may benefit you.

forums with no substance are very difficult to get off the ground....
I have tried several times very little success; you would have better
luck setting up a decent niche site, and promote it....

Why do you need a forum?
What do you have to offer?
Why should I leave my current forum
and visit yours? It is what it is....

you think it may look cool if you had a popular forum, but any forum
that is worth mentioning has most likely been around for years....

It would be great to have a content generating machine,
however, it is simply not as easy as you think....

Post about the forum on social media. Join other forums as well and talk about it there. Making people aware of your forum will generate interest and will have people coming in.

Yeah that's what I intend to do now. I can see a few visits by users but no signups yet. Will have to work hard.
