Hi, I am working on a website for the last 4 months on a computer hardware site and I can't find any results for any of my targeted keywords in Google or Yahoo after these much of time. I agree this can take upto 6 months and even one year to get good rankings. But the thing which is fishing is if I am searching for any of the keywords and checking all the 1000 results, then my site is not coming. I fear some sort of penalty or sandbox effect? There are not much content on site. So we are concentrating on off-page tasks. Can anyone have a look on www. inkdomain. com site and give suggestions. Thanks, Aneesh
Yes, 4 months is a long time. I am sure you have used social bookmarking to get indexed in the search engine. You can check the position of your website using this position finder tool: Check position Finder Also, make sure that your site does not get into sandbox effect.
I think it is most probably sandboxed. I would advice getting more 'quality' links rather than quantity. Try exchanging links with authority sites in your niche.
your site is in googles index, if you google ink domain it ranks top, so it hasnt been removed or not added, it is there. It just must not like the on page stuff on your site. you need alot more content in order to rank, and the titles aren't very great. you only have 32 words on your front page, try getting 250-300, and format it properly, you need atleast a h1 tag and some < p > tags around your text otherwise google doesnt quite know what it is. it knows its text but without < p > tags it doesnt know whether its content or not! links are uselss in general if you dont have properly complete on page seo
Possibly you are lacking some where. can i have your website? I could tell you where you are doing wrong. And i must say in this situation one must go for huge social bookmarking.
you have a total of 14 "dofollow" inbound links from cheesy links pages. Don't expect results anytime soon. You are #224 in Yahoo!, and #415 in Google for you anchor text Inkjet Cartridges. The keyword you are targeting (inkjet cartridges) is highly competitive. First off, you need some trust rank links to get you noticed by Google and out of the sandbox (i.e. Yahoo! directory, Business.com, BOTW.org, Dmoz). Yes, you have to fork out about $900 for inclusion in these directories, but let's face the facts- you have to spend a little to make a little. If you can wait 1 or 2 years to start ranking well, just keep building cheesy links- eventually you will get enough links to get to page one (#1 for your keyword has about 200 inbound links and is listed in Dmoz and the Yahoo! directory). I am not trying to shoot down your efforts, just save you from a lot of disappointment- Initially it takes a little money to get any business started, and an internet business is no exception (speaking from experience here).
Well it all depends upon your keywords and the the methods you are using to capture those keywords, The keyword which you have selected is highly competitive and I think your site is currently in sand box, It means the site is indexed but still google is comparing it with other related websites to decide the ranking, The sand box may as long as 9 months, however you keep on earning links and try to target long tailed keywords in beggining
There a lot of competion in your niche. That's right is harder to get good SERPS. Try web directory submission and social bookmarking. If you want to link exchange with computer hardware sites please PM me.
in this case your site may be have bad content and any single back links whether you submit your site in lots of derectories. You just do link exchnage and fastly create live site back links and also check compititors back links and working like same.
