No response from Customer Support after 4 days?

I submitted a ticket to my host about changing my domain name for one of my shared hosting accounts.

They have not yet responded and it's been 4 days already. They usually respond within 24 hours! Funny thing is though, they're still sending me invoices and what not.

Anybody know what's going on? What should I do?

Well Invoices are on a billing system so they will auto send.

The other sad thing is alot of hosts out there don't like helping you cahnge the domain as it genearlly means you don't want to host with them any longer.

Try send them an email, talk on live chat or just give them a call.

If it turns out you can't get in contact at all, you can normally talk to the company that your host gets the domains off and then get them to change the information for you.

But if its the cPanel domain your changing, just go with a more reliable host.

Hello..I will suggest cancel your hosting and look for new provider.. domain name change ticket takes 5 minutes to do so.. You need to seriously look for a reliable company providing good support and uptime even if you have to pay few bucks more... If you are really serious about your site.

    I'm currently using a1whs.com

They were quite good for my first few months...but now they've really started to slow down and become unreliable. I mean, how long does it really take to change a domain name for my cPanel?

4 days is inexcusable especially since the request was during the week and not on the weekend...

4 days is absolutely unacceptable-- switch to a host which has atleast the decency to respond within the hour or has some kind of live support (phone, im).

When I got my best hosting, it was a $10 per month at some site. I always thought why people pay $10+ per month for hosting when we can get the same kind of hosting for just $10 per year.

After some time, I realized that I made a big mistake. I requested to change my domain information and it took about 40 days for the hosting to reply. I wanted to move to a new host but the current host did not replied at all.

Anyway, I just mentioned this as if your hosting is not reliable then that can create lot of problems for you. You should find a better host if you are not satisfied with the current one.

It would be really better to give them a call :)
No response for a ticket for 4 days is really a long time, normally good host respond within a day atmost.

I suggest you to phone them and ask them why your ticket still not answered.
You have advantages here by telling them that if they did not solve this within 1 day,you will not renew the hosting.
