Page rank toolbar update takes place every 3-4 months once. But, since March 2010, there are no major update takes place on page rank toolbar. So, you won't see any PR on the toolbar for any pages/thread that is created after March 2010. Take for example Digitalpoint forum, There are inner pages with PR too: Example of internal pages in DP that get PR: Google forum PR3 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=5 SEO Forum PR3 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=92 Link Development PR3 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13 etc. Sub forum pages are created earlier and that is why it gains PR from previous updates (I believe it must be created in 2004 or later, so it gained some PR value) Threads that have been created earlier (before March 2010) could reach some PR. However, there are older threads that reached some PR value as below example: PR2 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=489276 PR2 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=489276 I hope your doubts are clear now.
Yahoo and Google don't show page rank for me this morning. A glitch... a conspiracy....an update...the death of page rank? I don't know, but I doubt it is just you...
OK - thanks! I started to panic when I saw a grey bar on my best sites - must just be a glitch locally - or my computer or somethig.
Definitely new thread or most of the threads in forum have no pr because of less backlinks pointing to it. And it needs to wait for the next pr update before you can see the pr for that specific thread.
