    Hello,

I was just wondering how it could happen that my website comes up in the first page by Google for some keywords, when I have only PR 2.
For some of those keywords I am the Nr.1.
Actually I am happy but I would like to get some Ideas from you guys.

    Thanks,
    ameran

Maybe the competition is not very hard?
    What niche is that?

well type any random alphabets in Google search and see the results , probably none of the result would have any pr , so your keyword may also be so and its comman

These keywords will be very low competitive.
See I am having one website : www.zoommsoft.com
Notice that Zoo(mm)soft . I had used double “mm”

So now when anybody searches for Zoo(mm)soft my site will NO 1 on any search engine because there is zero competition for this keyword.

It is just a matter of how competitive that keyword is.

Low PR does not necesarly mean low SERPs, PR is just a measure of general quality. PR doesnt get updated as often as the SERPs do.

Depends how competitive is the industry, how good is your site (keyword density, domain.....) and other criterias.

PR has nothing to do with SERP positioning. Gone are the days where sites were listed in descending order according to the PR.

As said PR and SERPs are not always direct mirrors of each other, but most likely ifs a non competitive phrase your showing up for.

PR has no connection with the results in the SERP. You can have good rankings even you don't have PR yet. As long as the site was indexed and well optimized with your targeted keywords.

    Hello,

I think the completion for keywords "recovering data after raid crash" or "facts about msg preservative" should be hard but my website comes up as first page in Google search.

I just add every day new article with fresh content into my web page and maybe that is the reason why I come up in first position.

Here are the links for two keyword:

    recovering data after raid crash

    facts about msg preservative

Actually I would like to come up with some other keywords but my problem is that my web page is an article directory and there many different keywords everyday on my web page.

Does anyone have any idea what I could do?

I thank you for your replies.

Adobe has PR10. That doesn't mean that it is the most relevant one for your search term. Google shows results based on its relevance. When the relevance of the content is almost the same, they go for PageRank.

    Hello...

Ive seen many PR0s in top 10 spots for choosen keywords as
the webmaster was very good in his seo work and that site
was beating up on PR4-5s as PR has only so much use in the serps
and only a very small part of the equation...

    thx

As others have mentioned PR plays only a small part in serps. I have also seen PR0s in the top 10 and higher in the serps than pr4s and pr5s.
