Backlinks are inbound links, ie links from other sites to your site.

Your sites currently have a couple of backlinks from your siggy ;)

Most people find out their links from Yahoo or use the Backlink analyzer. Alternatively, Google sitemap account also offer a view of your backlink statistics. Check that out :)

Check how many links you have so far here:
    http://www.marketposition.com/lpc/index.php

Like stated above, you have to wait until the next PR to see a change in your PR. In the meanwhile, work on your backlinks so it'll go up higher when the update does come

You can try submitting your site to aboutus.org . Some categories have a high PR, which will boost your PR. For example, I am on aboutus.org/Category:WikiIndex , which has a PR of 4. The only problem with siggys is that the thread is normally a PR0, so you need to have a lot of backlinks to get a PR from your sig.

All you have to do is do a search for the domain name of your site. If it does not exist already (which is possible, as they have bots that crawl sites to add there before you do), simply say "create this page". Then, add a description, and add categories to the page, using the [[Category:category name]] tag.

Google Sandbox is what its called:

    - You can't do anything about it, you have to wait a minimum of 4-6 months (they update every quarter - so 4 times a year they assign/update pagerank).

You can however ensure that you get your pr by:

    - make sure your site is listed with google, if it's not listed add it, if its not added make sure that it gets listed. If google doesn't know you, it won't care to give you a PR. If Google can't see you, you don't exist (in its mind).

    - make sure you have at least 1 or 2 links from outside sites that link to you. This lets you have some creadability so you'll at least get a PR 1 or something.

Don’t be bother about PR, focus on the other important things, and continue to get more links. (From related and high pr site) it will help a lot.

because you dont have strong backlinks from high pr web sites . pr is calculated with your backlink . no backlinks means no pr ;)
