with google we can check backlinks using www.mysite.com

But if i want how many links mysite.com gets from a specific site, then how to check.
    "link:www.mysite.com site:yoursite.com" is not working

Try checking Yahoo or MSN. They show it better. There still aint a tool like link:mysite.com link:yoursite.com but if you check all pages, you probably see link exchanges of each page in the results?

    use the api.
If you can get usable results from a site: search, you can simply have your script check and list all links from which ever domain you want.

This should be doable in all 3 main SE's
