No niche

I have a website which has no particular niche. I have different categories on my website and am adding content to my website (categorized on those categories).

Now I know particular niche websites / blogs attracts advertisers as compared to my one. So what can be possible source of income other than adsense.

Also suppose I get like 1M page views per month, how much money can i expect per month (considering the fact the website has no niche). Also would it be better to sell the website and what will be worth at that point.

    Thanks.

well you can promote affiliate products related to different niches .. since you have already classified your content into categories, you need to look for affiliate products related to those categories. Then add them into the relevant section. It will involve some work depending on the number of pages you have on your website but it will be worth the effort..

generally you can get $2CPM with little problem.. that would means $2000 income / month.. say put a 10x multiple on it.. you can sell it for $240,000 ..

If you want to make money, you need a site that focuses on commercial content. Otherwise you are just wasting your time. You can't drink from an empty well.

Without a niche I doubt you'll be hitting 1,000,000 pageviews monthly, that's a lot even with a targeted niche. I would say choose one category you're blogging about and stick to that, if you have another interest or category move it to another blog. In the end you'll make more money that way

I agree that its difficult to achieve. Actually my website is about lists, that will contain lists of anything. I dont know if I can say list as a niche.

Anyways, assumption is I generate 1M page views .. can I expect to make earning like 2-3k$ ? Is it a realistic figure for that much views (considering my website)

I highly doubt you are getting 1M or will be. Not realistic mate; just the servers you'd need to handle a million users is a big investment.

I am not getting 1M views per month, but I am pretty sure I will get them. I admit its hard but its not impossible. BTW, 1 M pages per month is not a huge number.

Also I expect any virtual server (not dedicated) will handle this much traffic for 1 month.

If you can answer the original question, that would be great. Leave aside the doubts if I ever will get 1M views or not or the server can handle this much traffic. I am giving you an assumption that suppose my website (which is about lists) gets this much traffic. Will I be able to attract advertisers with my list website ? My intended target is to earn alteast 2K per month. Is it possible with this much traffic

If your blog receives that many views a month, your blog might be pretty large. It would be difficult to find offers to promote for each category. Try using CPM ads or popups.

My website does not receive this much traffic right now. I have received 50K visitors in last 30 days. I have to work hard 20 times to get more traffic.

I am curious that if I receive 1M traffic each month, will it attract advertisers ? That is my question from post no. one but unfortunately I am not getting a straight answer. Can anyone please help me.

If that's your site in your signature, I highly suggest trying to put up ads targeting joke products? Maybe, i'm not sure.....

Let me rephrase it. The theme of my website is lists. Is it a good niche to attract advertisers ?

I likely recommend that you focus on a niche so that your visitors will trust your
site more and increases your credibility. Also a niche site tend to attract more
backlinks and thus higher ranking on search engines.

If you are good, you can make $3000 with 15000 Pageviews per month.
