hello I'm unable to send e-mails: No MX Record found in this host. Invalid Email Address. Code (markup): http://webtools.live2support.com/nt_mxrecords.php I have Plesk v9.3.0 & CentOS. I have root access to the server SSH how can i fix this problem please? i use horde: http://webmail.<domain>.com/imp additional information: no DNS PTR record for XXX.XX.XXX.XX
Your MX record needs to be set up in your DNS zone for your domain. What name server are you using? This is a rough example if you are using Bind: domainname.tld. 14400 IN MX 5 domainname.tld. Hope this helps, Chris
hello he's the screen-shots of my plesk dns zone. the first screen-shots is for the main server settings (default): while the second is for the domain (client) which is not able to send: note that i have replaced the domain & IP by <domain> and <ip address>
You need to change the MX record, as you have it pointing to mail.domain.com, which then gets transferred to an IP. The MX should only have the domain name. Use this tool to check your DNS health: http://intodns.com/
