i think designer who is distributing his/her theme for free deserves to get some few bucks. If a blogger doesn’t like a theme that has a copyright link or sponsored link on it then dont use it. btw can we still put a designers link on it? - ed
I also agree with this. I know this is bad news because the Theme Viewer is a very popular site, but at least there will be more competition. I have a hard time finding other wordpress themes sites. And the quality ones are even harder. I would also like it if some of the theme sites were similar to Theme Viewer, where you can upload your theme, it takes a snapshot of it, then it shows on a demo on the site, and you can update it. A plus will be if you can upload variations of the theme under the main theme. The theme that would show on the main page would be the main theme, but if you click on the main theme you will see a snapshot of it and the other variations. I wouldn't mind starting a site like this, but it would take me awhile to get the funds for it. Why I like Theme Viewer the best is it lets me know if my theme appears correctly to others. Sometimes my theme appears correctly on my site, but when I upload it to Theme Viewer it appears a bit different. I also like it because I don't have to link to my theme from my site because sometimes I might sell the site, and people won't be able to download it any longer.
