You know I had long given up on AdSense after seeing click amount dropped 50 percent for a very long period of time (like over 9 months from April 2007 to December 2007 ). Before that I was feeling pretty good as I brushed the $1000 dollar a month club in January 2007, only to see it plunge into the depths of hell around April of 2007. It was like I was giving my traffic away and I said enough is enough. So I went almost all affiliates and just left AdSense as a token on my site. Affilates were ok but I always had this sense I was not getting paid for all my sales so I looked at things once again. Well, for whatever reason AdSense has come back for me and I am back up to where I was January 2007. I started pushing AdSense more and more and now with it the main focus, page impressions very high, I am maintaining that higher amount per click like the good old days. I still keep just a few affiliate banners on my site and they bring in that few hundred bucks a month but AdSense it back for me baby! I don't know if it is because Google is dumping the AdSense publishers that were a problem (which means more clicks for me) or if it is some other reason. Maybe I was in the Google smart pricing crapper for a while and they released me, who knows!

The same thing happened to me also. My 2007 Q1 Adsense income dropped 50%. However, I did not change. It has come back to full swing (even a slight increase) starting from Nov 2007
Yes great advice. Fortunately the main affiliate I use has channel tracking and I found which page produced the most sales and left the banner. I also discovered the rest of the pages I displayed them were mostly a waste and removed them and put the AdSense back. I have also become very focused on channels with AdSense and study them very close. It is amazing but I found just the smallest change (like slight variations in the URL color) can be enough to catch the attention of the visitor and result in a higher CTR. When you are talking about a forum website like mine a 0.10 increase can make a huge difference. So that in combination with the higher amount per click has brought me back. Now I just need to increase my traffic 5 times and I will be happy
It's because Advertisers are starting to come back to the content network after Google made the Click area only the title and url of the ad. That makes the advertiser happy that there clicks are valid, instead of accidental. It'll keep getting better I predict..
I have been using Adsense from long time. I have tried my best to diversify my earnings. Still I am not able to bring in adsense earnings lower than 50% of my total earnings.
Well most people don't understand that the internet is not a constant thing and this is the big problem
Good point, nothing stays steady forever, if anything ups and downs keep people on their feet, keeps people looking for alternative income. Im pleased it improved for you filipina. I never expect anything to last for too long.
