No more checks with clickbank!

A few days ago I contacted clickbank when will they allow direct deposit for my country and they said that even though DD won't be approved for quite some time I can get my payments thru wire.

This shocked me a bit because I always thought I'll have to use checks for years to come or at least until they approve direct deposit...

Well, they said that they can send money via wire if I earn more then $500 per pay period. And the fees are $35... but it just takes 2 days to get the money (whereas I have to wait THIRTY days to get it through check).

So I'll see how that works next pay period.

PS: did you know you can get wire even though your country isn't supported for direct deposit?

Yeah dude, almost every affiliate network that offers checks, usually offers Bank Wire Transffer, you should have asked before :D

I knew about wire transfer, even when DD wasn't available.

However, I didn't mind checks, because once I had them, it used to take about 1-3 days to clear.

You're from the UK right? From what I've heard it can take up to a month for US cheques to clear over here.

Even for wire transfer, you need to get a minimum of 3 paychecks in 90 days.

$500 per day per pay period? which would be $7500.. did it use to be a minimum of $10 000 when they were paying on the 1st and 15th?

It's very, very variable (and so is the cost). Some banks are good about it, some are bad. But anyone UK-resident can normally open an account in the Channel Islands fairly quickly and at very low cost, without actually going there (though under current banking regulations I think you might have to send a certified or notarised copy of your passport by post), and that's a pretty reliable way of clearing US cheques in under a week.
